Overview :
Auli and Joshimath, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, are among the most scenic mountain destinations in the Indian Himalayas. Auli is renowned for its pristine snow-covered slopes, making it one of India’s top skiing and winter destinations. Surrounded by majestic peaks such as Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Mana Parvat, Auli offers breathtaking panoramic views, peaceful meadows, and a refreshing alpine atmosphere. During winter, it attracts snow lovers and adventure enthusiasts, while in summer it transforms into a lush green hill station ideal for nature walks and photography.
Joshimath, situated just 12 km from Auli, serves as the main gateway to Auli and an important religious and cultural town. It is home to the revered Narsingh Temple and Shankaracharya Math, making it a significant pilgrimage center. Joshimath also acts as a base for travelers visiting Auli, Valley of Flowers, Hemkund Sahib, and Badrinath. With its spiritual importance, local markets, and serene mountain surroundings, Joshimath perfectly complements the natural beauty and adventure appeal of Auli, offering visitors a balanced experience of spirituality, nature, and Himalayan charm.
Itinerary :
Day 01: Arrival at Dehradun – Drive to Joshimath
(Approx. 300 km | 10–11 hrs)
On arrival at Dehradun Airport / Railway Station, meet our representative and proceed for a direct drive to Joshimath. Enjoy a scenic journey through the Garhwal region with beautiful mountain roads and river views. Upon arrival at Joshimath by evening, check in to the hotel and relax after the long journey. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Joshimath.
Day 02: Joshimath – Auli – Joshimath (Auli Local Sightseeing & Snow Experience)
(Approx. 12 km one way | 30–40 mins each side)
After breakfast, drive to Auli, a famous hill station and ski destination of Uttarakhand. Visit the Auli Ski Slopes, enjoy snow activities (subject to weather and season), and admire panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Mana Parvat peaks. Later, visit Gurson Bugyal and enjoy the Auli Ropeway (Auli–Joshimath), one of the longest cable cars in Asia (tickets on direct payment). In the evening, return to Joshimath. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Joshimath Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing in Joshimath. Visit the sacred Narsingh Temple and Shankaracharya Math, followed by free time to explore the local market or relax at leisure. Return to the hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Joshimath.
Day 04: Joshimath – Dehradun Departure
(Approx. 10–11 hrs drive)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for the return drive to Dehradun. On arrival, drop at the airport or railway station for onward journey with memorable experiences of Auli and Joshimath.
